Long time ago books have taken a big part in person’s life. Reading has been a single way to broaden out their knowledge. Books have been not expensive therefore, its have been accessible to many people. Every each of them could choose a book to their interests. However, in the course of time telecommunications change people life, which also step by step change people‘s attitude towards source of information. Nowadays people have a little free time. Therefore, people look how to get more information trough the shortest time.
Television has not killed reading, however. Today, newspaper and magazines sell in very large numbers. And books of every kind are sold more than ever before. Books are still a cheap way to get information and entertainment. Although some books with hard covers are expensive, many books are published today as paperback books, which are reasonably cheap. A paperback novel, for example, is almost always cheaper than an evening at the cinema or theatre, and you can keep a book forever and read it many times. Books in the home are wonderful source of knowledge and pleasure.
Films based on books are so fascinating. This is the format where both mediums come into play - the author creating, outlining and detailing a story from which the screenwriter draws out an image to present to the viewers. Moreover, we are seeing the screenwriter's interpretation of the book - all the details that we see in our minds and take with us while reading. Sometimes, given a poor story or simply just poor direction, the end result is disastrous. Sometimes, just sometimes, when you combine a wonderful piece of literature and an extremely talented and creative filmmaker, the end result is glorious.
