Fauna and Flora

Our nature is rich in fauna and flora. In order to preserve some rare species of flora and fauna museums and zoos are opened. As for zoos a lot of endangered species of exotic animals such as mammals, reptiles and even insects and birds are collected in them. In my opinion both living in zoos and in natural habitat has positive and negative aspects. First of all zoos help scientists carry out different research, make different tests on animals, see their way of life, eating habits and breeding.
Besides it’s a good mean of education for children when visiting zoos they can see different exotic animals, not in pictures, but in reality. On the other hand it’s a big entertainment for both adults and children. However most animals feel imprisoned in their cages. To my mind the majority of them would prefer to live in freedom, in the wild than in captivity in zoos. It’s evident that zoos can’t create such natural and favorable conditions for all species of animals. For example some of them are used to living in warmer or cooler climate. Besides there is to little space in their cages and there are often tired of to much attention of visitors. Further more, because of lack of funs, zoos often can’t afford to buy the necessary food for different animals. Therefore they often starve. As for as living in natural habitat is concerned. In my opinion all species of animals feel free there and can satisfy their biological needs. They feel less discomfort and torture when being free. However there are a lot of species witch are as the verge of extinction and they face more dangerous while living in the wild.
