Two mayoresses, dressed in the typical 12-buttoned gold-braided costume, wearing a kind of mitre on their heads and wielding the baton of authority, preside an all-female local council that has a licence to ridicule men. The end of the three days is marked by the burning of the so-called “Pelele”, a male doll that during the festivity is subjected to constant mockery.
