Nature as an exploitable resource

Technical perfection, expanding population and other civilization inventions are threatening our world with disaster. The population in the world grows and so grows the needs of each individual. Scientists are inventing new mechanisms, chemicals and many other types of devices to suit people’s needs. Here it is possible to use an old expression: intention justifies means. Human is an inquisitive critter. Individuals committed to the nature are dashing to the darkest forests, deepest oceans and into the space. As a result of that, there are almost no more places in the world where humanity has not put his leg yet. Tourists from all over the world are quick to explore every civilization’s untouched area. Because of the growing demand, seashores around the world turns into the infinite queues of hotels, unfortunately destroying natural resources. Man is destroying the earth's natural resources, though achieving benefits as well.
Air pollution is probably the most important dilemma in the world today. It is one of the problems which were brought by civilization. Unlike most of the other problems such as HIV, pollution is a human creation. Even if most of the people know about air pollution not everybody cares about it. Thousands of factories pollute the air without regulation. In consequence the air pollution in certain areas of the world is causing death to this day. Certain cities in the Western Europe have air that sometimes has five or ten times more soot in it than the International Standard. The average life expectancy in such countries is ten years less than in areas with unpolluted air. It also causes forest decline, increase of radiation, erosion of soil.
