The British Constitution

We all know, that constitution is a set of rules which describe the fundamental rights and duties of people and government and relationship between them or between various institutions. It help us to determine which political system is in the state.
Constitutions are written and unwritten. British constitution has unwritten form, so we will mention the nature of the constitution, sources and constitutional role of the judiciary to better understanding what is British unwritten constitution.
There are three countries in the world that have "unwritten" constitution: Israel, New Zealand and United Kingdom.
• The Parliament Acts (1911 and 1949)
There are two opinions about unwritten constitution. The supporters say that uncodified constitution flexible and there is no need to change it. On the other hand, it would be much more convenient to find the main principles and constitutional rights in one single document.
The Sources Of The UK Constitution:
The British Constitution can be found in a variety of documents. The main ones are:
• Acts of Parliament (Statutes) and EU law (most important, regulating many aspects of government and wider systems (the running of elections));
• Foreign treaties;
• Case law (precedents establishes by judges);
• Constitutional conventions (informal or “moral” rules – a code of practice for government, which has evolved over the years. They form principles of constitution. Some important conventions: The Sovereign shall grant the Royal Assent to all bills passed by Parliament, The monarch will not dissolve Parliament without the advice of the Prime Ministers, Duty of the Sovereign to act on the advice of her ministers);
• Works of authority (interpretation of aspects of the UK constitution);
• Royal Prerogative (powers exercised by the monarch (clemency and pardon, the award of dignities and honours, the declaration of war, the appointment of bishops and archbishops of the Church of England). In practice, most prerogatives are now directly...
