Attitude to immigrants

Attitude to immigrants is very different in general. Actually, it is not easy to explain those various nuances , why it’s becoming a big problem nationwide. It is believed, that there are from 5 to 8 mln. illegal immigrants in the US. And the number is increasing about 500 thousands of those every year. I’m not talking about those, who came legally. There are a lot of opinions, and it depends from various situations, reactions, etc. The most common differences ,let say, are: religion, age, gender, social life, customs, what country from and even a local area. For example, some people from different parts of the city could be more or less open minded to the immigrants than people from other parts of the city.
And the same is almost everythere, specially in west Europe, all the countries with deep and strong democratic traditions, not only in Russia. Everybody remembers that skinheads horde, marching Gediminas Street last year and shouting rasistical lozungs against all foreigners. Of course, they attracted everybody’s attention, media and TV wrote and showed them often. But what about a reaction from the city government? Nothing! It’s like, ”what can we do? Lithuania is a democratic country, we cannot stop them!”
Many countries around the world had made a lot of researches, regarding immigration problems and attitude to immigrants. I found out one research, which was done in Lithuania couple months ago. It says, positive attitude-17.72 percent,negative-34.18 %,and neutral-48.1%.That clearly shows how Lithuanians feel about the immigrants. More than a 1/3 is negative! I think I don’t need to comment this!
Lets go back. Those researches also showed, that positive attitude is growing in such countries like N.America, Canada. About fifty/fifty % in Gr.Britain, Germany,Italy, Spain, France. Furthermore, US wants to introduce a “blue card”, similar to a “green card”...
